Binette, Murielle (née Lafrenière) 1938 - 2024 C’est avec le cœur très lourd que la famille Binette vous annonce le décès de leur mère (mumu), entourée de sa famille, survenu à Sturgeon Falls, le mardi 16 avril, 2024 à l'âge de 85 ans. Fille de feu Alcide Lafrenière et de feu Isabelle Lafrenière (née Savignac). Épouse de feu Claude Binette et amie de Gerry Gilligan. Mère aimée de Gisèle Moran (feu Daniel), Richard (Mark), Carmen (Lorraine) et Roch (Luce). Prédécédée par son fils Gilles. Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Daniel Jr, Tim (Sara), Melissa (Ray), Gilles (Lisa), Yves (Kristine), Danika, Patrice (Sophie) et Miguel (Janelle) ainsi que ses arrière-petits-enfants Brielle, Jovie, Sebastien, Isabelle, Molly, Emilia, Chanelle, Jayron, Jayla et Alexie. Soeur de Hélène Marleau, Estelle Arbour, Angèle Rivest, Richard Lafrenière et Pierre Lafrenière. Prédécédée par ses frères Rhéal, Marcel, Normand et André, ainsi que ses belle-sœurs, ses beau-frères, ses neveux et ses nièces. Mumu était une femme dévouée à sa famille et qui aimait les fêtes. Une femme d’affaires accomplie, ceux qui l’ont connu savaient qu’elle était très joviale, amicale, aimable et sociale. Elle aimait faire à manger et faire manger les autres. Propriétaire semi-retiré de Chez Nous Cafétéria, Mme Binette était reconnue pour son fameux sucre à la crème. Elle sera manquer aussi par le staff, les clients et ses amis(es) de son petit restaurant de 36 ans qu’elle considérait aussi comme sa famille. La famille Binette recevra parents et amis au Salon Funéraire Théoret Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls, le vendredi 31 mai 2024 de 19h00 à 21h00. La messe funéraire sera célébrée à l'église Notre-Dame de la Visitation Church, Lavigne, le samedi 1er juin, 2024 à 10h00. Que vos témoignages de condoléances se traduisent en dons à l’Hôpital Général du Nipissing Ouest (Soins Palliatifs). LEONHARDT, Waltraud “Wally” Irmgard Ursula (née Lindow) August 27, 1926-April 12, 2024 The family of Waltraud “Wally” Leonhardt announces with sorrow her passing on April 12, 2024, at the West Nipissing General Hospital at the age of 97 years. Daughter of the late Wilhelm and of the late Alwina. Beloved wife of the late Martin (1921-2000). Dear mother of Karl, Ralph, Christine, and Kathy (Gordon). Remembered fondly by her grandchildren Tammy, Jennifer and Jonathan and her great-grandchildren Braydun, Sydnnie, Kaelie, Briauna, Kaelan, and Rowan. Waltraud, her husband, and son emigrated to Canada from Germany in 1949. After living in Windsor and Leamington, Ontario, for over twenty years, she and her family moved to their home on the shores of Lake Nipissing in 1972. Waltraud was an active member of the Rhine-Danube Club and the Germania Club, and enjoyed meeting with friends as well as helping out as “Toast Lady” at the Jocko Point Community Centre. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, reading, watching wildlife on the deck and, in her later years, watching Andre Rieu concerts on Youtube. The family wishes to thank Bonnie Brown; Robbie, and Andrea of the NBRHC Geriatric Community Paramedicine Outreach Program; her family physician Dr. Kerry Reed as well as Dr. Ann Marie McKenna of the NBRHC Specialized Geriatric Clinic; her co-ordinator Renee at Home and Community Care Support Services North East; and her nurses from the VON and her nurses and PSWs (especially Linda) from Carepartners. Their care of her as she aged at home was greatly appreciated. A private family celebration of Waltraud’s life will be held at a later date.
